Transferring us your website

Getting started on the web management plan, or need to transfer an old draft? Either way, here is how to transfer us your website.

1. Log into your Wix account at www.wix.com

2. Go to your dashboard

3. Click the relevant website

(note - if you only have 1 website, you'll probably be sent straight to the dashboard)

4. Click the 3 dots which will open up a dropdown menu

5. Click 'Transfer site.' It is sometimes called 'Change Owner.'

6. Enter my email address: kat@onlinedesigns.uk and click 'An agency or freelancer'

7. Make sure everything under the 'What's included' section is turned on so that we receive everything we need.

8. Tick the 2 boxes at the bottom (explanations below).

- Keep my role as Website Manager of this site after the transfer

This will keep you as a contributor to the website. Keep this ticked your current Wix account will keep access to the back-end of your new site for blogging and other functionality.

- Create a copy of this site and keep it in my account

This will create a non-live copy of the site, in its current form, in your account. This gives you a backup that you still have control of, and means you can look back on your old design for years to come.

8. Click Next.

9. Click 'Transfer Ownership.'
